Kweku Obeng-Adjei has over 17years experience in Communications and media practice.
He holds Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts (Radio and TV), a Masters Degree in Journalism and he has worked for some of Ghana’s leading media brands since 2006. His expertise includes building News Organizations, Events Management, Media Relations and Communications strategy development. He’s also pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at the GIMPA Law School and a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership and Governance at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon.
In October 2018, he was appointed as the Media Relations Manager at the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Ghana. In 2021 his Job description was expanded to include Events Management of the Ministry.
In this role, Kweku has been instrumental in managing PR and Media Relations for State and Private events including the state visit of the former US Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Vice President Kamala Harris, Government of Ghana’s Covid-19 Mass Media outreach program, Media relations for ECOWAS summits in Accra (2020-2022) under the chairmanship of President Akufo-Addo and the Accra Initiative Conference among others.
He is an alumnus of Mfantsipim School, University of Ghana and the University of Media, Arts and Communication. He is a fellow of the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa and is married to Anita Obeng-Adjei.
